It's worth staying at this attractive inn just to hear Ted and Barbara Young's stories about life in the far north. Barbara cooks the big breakfasts, and Ted sends guests out canoeing, hiking, snowshoeing or skiing, along the Banadad Trail or into the Boundary Waters.

A short thirty-mile drive up the Gunflint Trail from Grand Marais, you find this exciting new lodging experience. Perched on a glacial esker, the Guesthouse offers a dramatic view of Little Ollie Lake and Poplar Creek below. The Guesthouse features a suite for those looking for extended stays and bed and breakfast rooms for overnight guests.

The Bed and Breakfast rooms feature a mouth-watering breakfast each morning, including two juices, fresh fruit, entre, two meats, and a dessert, served with a Northwoods touch. For more information, go to Barbara's Kitchen to see what's cooking.

The bed and breakfast rooms are located on the second floor of the Guesthouse and have private baths. Dorothy's Room features two queen beds and a double shower. Ollie's room has a queen-size bed and double whirlpool tub. Both rooms include a delicious breakfast. The second floor also includes a common area with fireplace and kitchen area. Outside deck overlooking Little Ollie Lake.

Barbara's Suite accommodates up to four people and has a great room with fireplace and kitchen, living room with satellite TV, private bath and bedroom. This room also has a private outside deck. Breakfast is available for an additional charge.
