B&B Banadad Green-up Tree Planting Special

Filed under: News, Events, Volunteer Trail Help, Trail Maintenance — admin @ 1:32 pm

Join other friends of the Banadad and Gunflint Trails at one of the Banadad’s Tree Planting Weekends. At Poplar Creek Guesthouse and cabins two weekends have been dedicated to helping reforest the area around the eastern end of the Banadad Ski Trail.

Over the last four years the carbon produced by the equipment used to maintain and groom the Banadad Ski Trail has been sequestered in tree planting. This carbon offset will continue this year.

Four Hundred Red and White Pine seedlings will be planted along and near the eastern end of the Banadad.

The Tree Planting Weekend Special is $89/person plus tax and includes two nights  lodging with Barbara’s famous breakfast each morning, one lunch,  planting instructions, planting equipment and tree seedlings,

During the May 4-6 weekend. For those interested one lunch and dinners on Friday and Saturday at Gunflint Lodge is available for an additional $48 as part of the Annual Gunflint Green Up.

For those that do not need overnight accommodation but would like to join in on the planting - meet 10:00 A.M. on either of the two Saturdays at Poplar Creek Guesthouse B&B.

For information on the Banadad Green up Lodging and/or tree planting phone 800-322-8327 or if calling from Cook county, 388-4487.
