Gunflint Trail- Sunday was a beautiful partly sunny almost autumn day for this year's Taste of the Gunflint Festival. Locals and area resort guests traveled up and down the Gunflint Trail stopping at resorts and B&B enroute.  The day long event combined fun food, local history and fund-raising on behalf of the new Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center. 

Businesses along the Gunflint Trail provided delicious free treats from the Taste of the Gunflint Trail cookbook to all those that showed-up. This year Poplar Creek Guesthouse B&B served-up their famous firepot dinner to some sixty-two people - many of whom to hear them tell it,” had already eaten way to much at all the other lodges they had stopped at.”
